Bio: The youngest of the Weasley/Potter clan, Hugo is the most timid and quiet. For the first ten years of his life, Hugo only smiled and nodded, or frowned and shook his head to give answers to the people who interacted with him. He didn’t make any effort to speak, and when his father would plead for him to, he would just shake his head. It wasn’t until his mother came in to Hugo’s room to check on him one night did she realize what was going on - Hugo was staying up late at night and reading to himself under his covers. When his mother found out, and with gentle coaxing afterwards from both parents, Hugo finally began to speak. Hugo is still a quiet boy, who doesn’t feel the need to be obnoxious and paid attention to like his other cousins. He’s content with how he is, watching the world around him and observing with a playful smirk that many joke he picked up from Albus. Hugo has a slight stutter, nothing too bad to get him made fun of, especially with two cousins in Slytherin to keep the bullying at bay. Hugo is an extremely shy boy when it comes to talking to girls, his stutter becoming prominent, but they usually find it more endearing than he finds it embarrassing. He loves reading and writing, and has shared with his parents that he aspires to be a great author someday. He was surprised at how much both of them, including his dad, supported him. Originally, Hugo only joined Quidditch to impress his father, but ended up enjoying it so much that he kept at it. He’s small and fast, but he can never find the bloody gold ball as fast as the other Seekers can, but that’s okay - Hufflepuffs play to have fun, not to win.Ever since he came to Hogwarts, Hugo would write two different, long, descriptive letters weekly (usually Sunday nights) to send to his parents. Writing his thoughts down became the best way for Hugo to express himself, even if he had been speaking for years at this point, but he developed a very close relationship with his parents through this way of communication. Rose and Hugo have always been on good terms, and his big sister is always willing to help Hugo with his homework or when he’s got writer’s block while writing one of his short stories. Of all his cousins, Hugo’s closest with Roxanne. They both play on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, and they both are the same year - they just somehow got close. Hugo looks up to Albus in a very admiring fashion, and he knows through talks with Rose that Albus has a rougher time than he ever lets on - he hopes to develop a closer bond with his cousin, because he thinks they have a lot in common.
